It is owned and operated by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association (VDCA), The stadium is situated in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA cricket Stadium has a seating capacity of 36,000 and has hosted various international cricket matches, including Test matches and One Day Internationals.The stadium staged its first Test match in the 2016  when England  toured India.

This ground is the playing strip and is one of the best batting pitches in the country, hard and true and perfect for hitting through the line, as the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni proved while flying the Pakistan attack on the way to 148 runs.

This pitch has both nature. Sometimes it’s helpful for batters, sometimes helpful for bowlers.This pitch has some good bounce, which can be advantageous for the fast bowlers, especially in the initial stages of the match.
