INTRODUCTION
The 2024–25 Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) kicks off on October 27, 2024, marking the 10th edition of the competition. The season opener will see Adelaide Strikers, the defending champions, take on Brisbane Heat at Adelaide Oval, followed by other matches on the same day, including Melbourne Renegades vs. Sydney Sixers at Adelaide Oval and Perth Scorchers vs. Melbourne Stars at the WACA.
This season features eight teams: Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers, and Sydney Thunder.
